Create a simple back button for your FileMaker Database

Back buttons are widely used in many different types of applications, and it's simple to add one to a FileMaker database.

Download the sample file to copy and paste elements into your own database.

Copy these items into your database, in this order:

  1. Custom functions: _CreateParameterVariables, _HistoryMinusOne, _LastLayout, _AddScriptParameter
  2. Script: Navigation
  3. Button: Any of the back buttons (top left of the main layouts in the database)

Note: There are other items that you may want to include with the Navigation script, like the List Sort script, but these steps will be enough to add the back button.
